Billie Eilish surpasses 1 billion views on YouTube

Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" has surpassed one billion views on YouTube on Wednesday (11/11) local time, as reported by Variety.

The song is now on the list of the billion- view club, "Bad Guy" itself managed to reach that number after a year and a half of release. "Bad Guy" is Billie Eilish's first song to be included in the prestigious music video list, while his collaboration with Khalid, "Lovely" still hovers over 900 million views.

The music video for "Bad Guy" was directed by Dave Meyers, and this is not the first time Meyers has managed to make a video that has entered the ranks of an elite club. Other works by Meyers are "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.



Meyers has also made videos for other famous celebrities that have garnered hundreds of millions of views, including "ME!" Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande's "God Is a Woman" and Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE". "Bad Guy" is one of the singles from the album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?", An album that put Eilish in Grammy history.

She won five of the six nominations earlier this year including Best New Artist, Best Album, Record and Song of the Year.

He is the second artist, after Christopher Cross in 1981 as the youngest Grammy winner to win four trophies.

Meanwhile, "Despacito" which is a collaboration song between Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee is still the leader in the billion views club on YouTube.


With more than seven billion views, "Despacito" tops the list even though the audio remix without the music video has garnered more than 650 million views.
